What We Do Research Outreach Clinics Training
Community Outreach
Tarjan Center faculty excel in outreach programs and trainings throughout Los Angeles, California and the nation. Community training areas include: advocacy, laws and legislation affecting people with developmental disabilities, and services and supports which enhance opportunities for community living. Other training areas address the arts and accessibility, family support, health care, mental health, dual diagnosis, oral health, nutrition, as well as special needs adoption and foster care. Recipients include consumers and family members, professionals and non professionals from diverse fields, as well as representatives from state and local organizations.
    Our technical assistance to community agencies and programs includes:
  • public forums, symposiums, lectures, and classes
  • program development, implementation and evaluation
  • administrative and management consultation
  • developing curriculum and training materials
  • identifying resources

Lili Claire-UCLA Family Resource Center

Affiliated with the Tarjan Center, the Lili Claire-UCLA Family Resource Center is dedicated to providing support, information, and referral services to families caring for or coping with issues and concerns of loved ones with neuro-genetic disabilities. This includes family oriented literature that addresses specific developmental disability support groups, acute intervention, and long-term assistance for families in crisis.
National Arts and Disability Center (NADC)
